This is a collection of photos taken on an afternoon stroll through Bhaktapur, Nepal. Walking through this small village was like stepping back in time to the early parts of the 19th century. All of the people we encountered were warm and friendly. When I approached and asked to take their photograph all but one declined. Several people that I took a shot of smiled and quickly asked for payment after the image was taken, which I was happy to oblige . There is a deep history and enduring culture in this place. Most of the villagers here are farmers and small shop owners much like their parents and grandparents before them.
