The Temple of Hera, Selinunte, Sicily, Italy.

This is the Temple of Hera, found on the archaeological site of Selinunte, on the south west coast of Sicily, Italy. The view in this photo is considered the back of the temple. This image was shown as part of a gallery exhibition in Florida in 2007. The series of images in the exhibit were edited and color adjusted to reference a sense of memory and history. The dark sky, vignette and highlight of the temple brings to mind a place of wonder and worship that this site held for hundreds of years.
