We woke up before sunrise, headed down to the steps of the Ganges (or Ghats) to catch the early morning light and life on the river. The entire area was busy with people praying, bathing, washing laundry, and fishing. We walked down the steps, boarded a boat and headed out on the river. This scene seemed to be a father and his sons looking over their morning catch. By the time I came up to his boat he had already hauled in over 10 fish. The early morning haze had cast a nice light, white curtain against the other bank of the river. From my point of view it looks as if they had the river all to themselves.
