These are the sculptures of Gustav Vigeland. He is a Norse sculptor who lived from April 1869 – March 1943. These images were taken in Frogner Park where Vigeland had his studio and his works are refered to as the Vigeland installation. He was a prolific sculptor and his works are a beautiful exploration of the relationships between men and women. Wandering through the park you will find his sculpture exploring time and relationships as they change and grow with age. Unfortunately, we only spent a few hours there as we were heading off to Flam, Norway shortly. I would love to go back and spend an entire day really studying and exploring more of his wonderful work.
To mark this years Valentines Day, I could think of nothing better than to share a few of these photos that celebrate relationships and time, enjoy!
