We were at Mont Saint-Michel, France, when we had a rare few moments to be away from the crowds in the upper levels of the monastery. We stood at the edge of the stone walls, over looking the tidal flats and letting the strong sea breeze blast over us. It was a beautiful day and excellent scenery. I looked over and saw my student “Savage”, and she had a wonderfully calm, peaceful look. I couldn’t help but take this shot. A beautiful reflection and capture of a moment in time.
I normally do not work in black and white often, but I was drawn to it when I was going through these images back in my studio. Black and white just seemed to capture how I felt when I was in this historic setting.
Nice.
