A lovely view indeed. This shot was taken while we were touring through the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, Ireland. The view through the lettering on the window, is looking over the city of Dublin.

The Guinness brewery is a wonderfully designed structure. The center interior of the building is shaped like a giant pint glass that rises five stories to the top bar, genius! I felt like I was wondering through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory at first, except with beer 🙂 They actually have a waterfall inside. I almost expected to see little green leprechauns mixing the ingredients at one point; that was of course after a few pints. Luckily for me, most of my students didn’t like dark beer and offered their beer tickets to me. I of course didn’t want to offend any locals and accepted the gracious gifts of free dark, smooth, malty goodness.

Disclaimer: I have been brewing my own beer for many years and I was a tad bit excited to tour these hallowed halls.
