These shots were taken shortly after sunrise, in my friends backyard in Cleveland, Ohio. This is Tom and Ginny’s backyard and it is beautiful. They live on the edge of a park and frequently have multiple deer wander through all year. The deer feel quite comfortable and weren’t scared off as I approached. They just watched me closely as I set up my shots and got to work.
I often post shots of wildlife from my travels abroad. To get these shots, there is most often a car, boat, plane ride, or long hike involved. This was one of the easiest treks I had to make to get great images. I woke up, walked out the back door and saw multiple deer hanging out. I am often reminded that you always don’t have to cross an ocean or continent to shoot. Sometimes all you have to do, is walk out your back door.
