I was on assignment for The Nature Conservancy, in the Florida panhandle, when I took this shot. This is the Blackwater River in the Blackwater State Forest. The image was used for the center spread in TNC’s,  Florida Chapter annual report (which I also designed), talking about water use and water quality in the states parks. The great benefit of shooting and designing for my clients, is that I often know exactly what I need for the layouts and the topics in the upcoming pieces. This is a 6 shot panoramic. I take a lot pans for use in design layouts as they work across the fold quite nicely. In the final designed spread in the publication, the title of the story ran across the sky in the image and the body copy ran in the water.
