A Few Birds From Black Point Drive

These are a few shots from a recent outing over on the coast, at Merritt Islands Black Point Drive. I have posted many times from this spot and it is one of my favorite places to go shooting. As fall is settling in down here, the migratory birds are starting to come back and the estuary is once more filling up with all manner of wildlife. With these shots, I have tried to show the  many different types of habitats you will find birds in, at Black Point Drive. There are gallinules swimming in the canals, herons at the forest’s edge, egrets in duck weed and a spoonbill in wire grass.  As our season gets cooler, we will have more arrivals from up north and I hope to share more shots with you in the coming months.
